🎧 Amplify your creativity at Film Audio & Sound Design Creator Camp! Create, share, and inspire as you learn to craft immersive soundscapes, collaborate on dynamic audio projects, and bring stories to life through the power of sound.
Notes
Students dive into the world of audio storytelling using Adobe Audition software, mastering the art of sound design to bring their stories to life. They’ll explore the limitless possibilities of sound and music while conquering the digital landscape with confidence! Students can learn how to record, create, mix and master audio for video!
Our curriculum prioritizes digital literacy and online safety​. Privacy-first: videos won't be published online during camp, videos will be shared directly with parents, and the decision to publish post-camp is yours to make.
What you'll learn
- Storytelling Skills - Narrative Development: Craft imaginative stories through sound and dialogue, creating rich audio-based narratives.
- Auditory Storytelling: Learn how sound effects, music, and voice can shape emotions and bring stories to life.
- Creative Thinking & Digital Skills - Creative Problem-Solving: Develop unique audio concepts and tackle challenges in recording and editing to make your projects shine.
- Digital Literacy: Get hands-on experience with sound design tools and audio-editing software to produce compelling digital stories.
- Teamwork & Personal Growth - Collaboration and Communication: Work together to create audio for films, learning how to share and combine ideas in a fun and supportive team environment.

- Presentation Skills: Practice presenting your sound designs and explaining how they enhance your storytelling.
- Intro to Sound Production - Basic Sound Design: Explore the fundamentals of sound production, including recording, layering effects, and mixing audio tracks.
- Time Management: Plan your projects efficiently to stay on track and bring your audio stories to completion.
Sample Class Format
- 8:30 - Drop off / Check in
- 9:00 - Instruction / Pre-production
- 10:30 - Onset Film Production
- 12:00 - Lunch Break - Bring a lunch!
- 12:30 - Team Building Outside
- 12:45 - Continue Filming
- 1:30 - Post-production work
- 2:30 - Pick up - No later than 3:00pm
Other Things To Know
Tuition and Fees Refund Policy - If you are forced to cancel for any reason you will receive your full purchase price as a transferable credit, good for any NW Film Camp session through 2027. Tuition is non-refundable but transferable.
