Kids love to create, and what better way than with friends? Kids as young as 8 can quickly and safely learn to use a sewing machine to complete a simple but fun project in our sewing parties!

Policy

Abby's Attic will provide: patient, kind instruction, all materials and tools needed for the sewing project, and use of sewing machines. Abby's Attic does NOT provide food, drinks, plates, utensils, napkins, balloons, streamers, decorations other than what is permanently in the studio. Eating/drinking near the sewing machines is prohibited. Silly String (or any other messy novelty) is prohibited. If small fixtures need to be moved to accommodate your party we will be happy to do that; larger fixtures and furniture will remain in place for the duration of the party. Our staff will also help you set up and clean up. Cancellations within 72 hours of the event will incur a $100 loss of business fee. Abby's Attic is a working studio. This means that there are items within reach at all times that are sharp and may be dangerous if proper behavior is not adhered to. We require every guest/parent to fill out a waiver in order to participate in the event. Attached is the Student Waiver for you to bring, filled in. We will be sending you an email to forward to your guests that includes the waiver form (to be printed, signed and returned on or before the party) as well as a link to our studio policies. Should you have fewer guests than your estimate of XX, no refund of the difference will be given. If your party has more than XX guests, we will square up before the end of your event. We require a final head count within 48 hours of your party.

You provide the guests. :) You may also bring food, drinks, plates, utensils, napkins, balloons, streamers, decorations. You may arrive up to 30 minutes early to decorate to your liking. Your three hours of time includes a safety briefing, sewing time, snack/cake time and opening presents. You may utilize your entire three hours or choose to end early. There is no refund if your party ends before the three hour mark. Staff will discretely let you know 30 minutes before your scheduled party time is over, and at that time we will collect the balance owed on your party.
