Description
Students will practice keeping a sketchbook to document the people, places, and things around them. We’ll be using our drawings as source material for other projects such as handmade crafts and community engagement. Students will explore drawing people, still-life, hand-lettering, and architecture with watercolor, drawing, and printmaking media. Students are encouraged to bring their curiosity to class.
Instructor Lindsay Bolin Lowery considers drawing in her sketchbook essential to her creative process, and tries to have one in her possession at all times. From her sketchbook work, she produces illustrations and handmade housewares for her small business LBo Craft. She is currently participating in the Sketchbook Project and is super pumped to be teaching at ArtFarm!
