ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Our social skills program features great role-play games plus social/emotional support. We incorporate social skills goals into Dungeons & Dragons game play, encouraging children to reach goals while immersed in a fantastic experience. Kids work as a group on an imaginative and exciting quest. Collaboration and communication is facilitated and supported through all aspects of the program by our specially-trained counselors. Social Skills + D&D accepts participants on a rolling basis--you can join at any time during the school year!
DETAILS
After you register, you will receive a questionnaire regarding your child and what you'd like your child to work on, to help us create a personalized plan.
During each session, our coach checks in with your child to discuss progress and provide encouragement. Kids are awarded items such as gold and spells they can use during the 90 minute Dungeons & Dragons game based on this progress.
Kids with no experience with D & D and those more experienced are welcome.
Please note: Brooklyn Game Lab does not provide clinical services. Documentation cannot be provided for insurance reimbursement purposes.
SCHEDULE
This weekly program meets every Saturday from 11:30am-1:30pm.
PAYMENTS
This program is paid by recurring monthly payment. After your first payment (collected upon registration), payments are charged at the beginning of the month. If you register after the beginning of the month, your first month will be prorated accordingly.
DURATION
Participants enjoy and pay for 8 months of programming (September 10th - May 20th).
MAKEUPS
For families that miss a class or two, we’re holding sessions in June for make-ups (at no additional cost).

Class Requirements

Sample Class Format
- Children meet with our counselors to review goals and transition into the program.
- Children play Dungeons & Dragons while supported by counselors.
- You will receive regular e-mail synopsis regarding your child's progress.
Other Things To Know
Registration is for the full duration of the program. If you wish to cancel at any point, you must e-mail us. We'll cancel all upcoming installments; there is no cancellation penalty. Make-ups for absences may be done in June.
