Class Experience

FANTASTIC FANTASY CREATIONS 

Spark your imaginations as we create multiple fun FANTASY art projects working with clay, beautiful oil pastels, cray pas, specialized markers, and acrylic paints!  

Students will make: 

  • Clay Dragons 
  • Acrylic Futuristic City Paintings 
  • Multimedia Oil Pastel Unicorns or Trolls 
  • Laurel Birch - inspired cat portraits


Come join us for this beautiful weeklong, enriching, artistic experience.  

We will spend 3 wonderful hours each day in this longer studio art camp making colorful fantasy art.  In years' past, this has been a popular camp.  Students focus deeply on art the entire time, and will go home with a special, peaceful fulfillent, the therapy of deep art focus and color provides!  Plus, we usually laugh and smile a lot as we encourage everyone's fabulous fantasy creations!  


On the last day of camp, we'll post all the artwork on the walls so the parents may come in and see the gorgeous and fun projects!  


Note: If your child signs up for a morning workshop and an afternoon workshop for the same week, he/she may stay for the lunch hour for free in-between sessions!

Class Requirements

  • Children should be able to work independently and behave appropriately in a specialized studio art setting.  
  • 6-year olds should be finished with Kindergarten.  If your child has not gone to Kindergarten yet, please contact the owner, Marie, at mariek@childrensartclasses.com to determine if it's a good fit for your child. 
  • The projects are beautiful, but require them to focus on art 3 hours each day.

Other Things To Know

Cancellation Policy

This workshop is not refundable; however, it may be exchanged for another summer workshop of equal value (Or difference in price applied) the same summer of 2025.  The last week of workshops in July will not be able to be exchanged.

Meet your Instructors

Allee F.

Allee has a B.F.A degree and is a multi-talented artist starting her third-year teaching with CAC. In her other career, she is an adjunct band instructor for Plainfield High School.

Rachel R.

Rachel is a full-time Art Education student at Herron School of Art at IUPUI. She has experience teaching students of all ages and loves to share the joy of art with young people. Rachel is also a fantastic artist, and we are blessed to have her at CAC.

Parker L.

Parker is a professional illustrator with a BFA degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Parker loves working with youth of all ages, and he is excited to help each student learn art techniques that will help their creativity shine!
