Class Experience

Join us for an exploration of iconic pop art styles and techniques! Students will complete a bold and vibrant pop art portrait of their favorite pop artist (or themselves!) using a color palette inspired by their favorite album.

This is 2- hour daily workshop will be FULL of amazing pop culture studio art projects. Here we go!

1. Bold Pop Art Portrait Acrylic in 11x14.

2. Pop art friendship bracelet - bonus craft

3. Vellum Paper - Redesign an Icon Outfit.

4. Watercolor Painting inspired by your Icon.

Note: If your child signs up for a morning workshop and an afternoon workshop for the same week, he/she may stay for the lunch hour for free in-between sessions!

Class Requirements

Students should be able to behave appropriately and work independently in a studio art classroom.

Sample Class Format

Students will need to bring a water bottle and snack for our 5 minute break in the middle of each 2-hour session.

Cancellation Policy

This workshop is not refundable; however, it may be exchanged for another summer workshop of equal value (Or difference in price applied) the same summer of 2025. The last week of workshops in July will not be able to be exchanged.

Meet your Instructors

Allee F.

Allee has a B.F.A degree and is a multi-talented artist starting her third-year teaching with CAC. In her other career, she is an adjunct band instructor for Plainfield High School.

Rachel R.

Rachel is a full-time Art Education student at Herron School of Art at IUPUI. She has experience teaching students of all ages and loves to share the joy of art with young people. Rachel is also a fantastic artist, and we are blessed to have her at CAC.

Parker L.

Parker is a professional illustrator with a BFA degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Parker loves working with youth of all ages, and he is excited to help each student learn art techniques that will help their creativity shine!
