Class Experience
Learn to draw like a pro with ebony pencil! Students will learn about black and white value and different shades of light on objects. Students will complete one ebony pencil drawing using different values of light and dark. Their skills will improve and they will come home with a great drawing!
Notes
Please be on time with drop off and pick up.
Class Requirements
- Students must be able to work independently and behave appropriately in a specialized studio art setting. If you have questions, please contact us prior to registration.
- Students should be prepared to receive guidance and coaching on art technique.
- This is a required project for students moving forward to Art 2 courses in the fall. Students fulfill this project when they take the full Art 1 course.
Other Things To Know
Cancellation Policy
This workshop is not refundable; however, it may be exchanged for another summer workshop of equal value (Or difference in price applied) the same summer of 2025. The last week of workshops in July will not be able to be exchanged.

Meet your Instructors
Allee F.
Allee has a B.F.A degree and is a multi-talented artist starting her third-year teaching with CAC. In her other career, she is an adjunct band instructor for Plainfield High School.
Rachel R.
Rachel is a full-time Art Education student at Herron School of Art at IUPUI. She has experience teaching students of all ages and loves to share the joy of art with young people. Rachel is also a fantastic artist, and we are blessed to have her at CAC.
Parker L.
Parker is a professional illustrator with a BFA degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Parker loves working with youth of all ages, and he is excited to help each student learn art techniques that will help their creativity shine!
