Class Experience
This class has been developed as a follow up course to Introduction to Art, but stands alone as an appropriate introduction class to children seven & eight years of age.
In Beginning Art, students will be exposed to the next level of art vocabulary, and will begin to utilize knowledge of color theory. Students will be exposed to design principles, as they create and explore.
Beginning Art is a 2- year program and will offer opportunities to students to utilize charcoal, mono printing, clay, ink, color design, collage, self-portrait, watercolors, balsa wood carving, sculpture, and much, much more.
Class Requirements
Students should be able to work independently and behave appropriately in a specialized art classroom setting.

What you'll learn
Goals and Skills: Students will learn numerous Elements of Art and Principals of Design such as: Light Value; Cool and Warm Colors; Balance; Texture; and Composition.
Techniques in drawing, painting, printmaking and clay building.
Planning and Creating Projects

Tuition is the same each month.
Each class will have 34 sessions over the school year even though days in each month may vary.

Parker is a professional illustrator with a BFA degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. Parker loves working with youth of all ages, and he is excited to help each student learn art techniques that will help their creativity shine!
