Class Experience
The Actors' Playground series offers fun drama, music, and dance opportunities for kids ages 7-11!
Excellent for young people looking to channel their creativity and energy, these classes guide our students through some of the basic skills of theater-making and performance.
This semester's class is "Ooops! All Games!" - It's ALL THEATER GAMES, ALL THE TIME!
We're winding down a busy school year with something FUN! Games are an integral part of the theater experience -- and an amazing tool for learning. Professional performers play games regularly to warm up , connect with other actors, or exercise certain specific acting skills. Guided by our experienced teaching artists, the young performers in this class will play a variety of fun and energetic theater games. Along the way, they will practice techniques of voice-control, pantomime, collaborative storytelling, improv, and much more!
At the end of this 6-class semester, students will show what they have learned (and played) for parents and family in a small Share-formance.
This class will be held at our Costume Shop Classroom

Drop before 1st class: Full refund, minus $50 fee
Drop before 2nd class: Full refund, minus $90 fee
Drop after 2nd class: No refunds issued
What To Bring
- Students should bring the following to every class:
- A water bottle
- A pencil
- Small snack item (please avoid nuts; we are a peanut-and-tree-nut-free campus)
- Clothes that allow for freedom of movement (not too baggy, not too tight, no sharp or pointy spikes, studs, etc.)
- Closed-toed shoes - acting is a very active activity!
