How to set your figures in dynamic action poses to make them pop and move on the page!
Choose interesting poses + compositions- like a profile or 3/4 views or upshots and non-traditional angles which also sell their personalities.
Create a Character Chart - with a color palette for Skin/Hair/Eyes/Clothing, and shading techniques in color for all Manga pens.
Reed Oka MacLaren is a visual artist originally from Salem, Massachusetts with a BFA in Scenic Design for Theater from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers. He is a painter, sculptor, illustrator, and storyteller, most notably working on original self-published comic books, such as “If the Big Red Shoe Fits” and “The Outrageous Adventures of Fishlegs” trilogy. A former camp counselor, Reed is passionate about teaching and eager to inspire young artists to pursue and develop their craft.
