In this block printing class, students will learn to design a print, focusing on the use of positive and negative space. After safely practicing carving techniques, they will transfer their designs onto a linoleum plate and carve them out. These designs can then be reproduced on shirts, paper prints, and other materials. Students will be guided through creating prints that reflect their intrests, while learning building their hand eye coordination in carving.
