Class Experience

The human face and body is an exciting study, but many students find it challenging and intimidating. In this class, you will develop confidence through preliminary drawing and sketching exercises as we study the human face in dynamic poses: straight-on, 3/4 view, non-traditional angles, action poses, strong expressions, and more. Learn color mixing, how to capture textures of hair, skin, clothing, and jewelry, how to set your subject in a setting, and how to use light to make tonal and emotional changes. At the end of the course, your instructor will offer valuable critique to help you continue your journey. Return students are very welcome in this class.
