Join us for FIVE Saturdays crafted as an engaging "cultural experience" for kids eager to extend their Saturday camp adventure or for those looking to sample one of our classes before signing up for summer camps.
🎭 Theme: Celebrating culture through papel picado, music, dance, and fiesta traditions!
This hands-on, movement-based, and culturally immersive workshop introduces kids to papel picado (Mexican decorative cut paper), traditional fiesta celebrations, and Spanish language learning through music, storytelling, and crafts.
📌 Course Goals & Learning Outcomes
1. Develop Fine Motor Skills – Cutting, folding, and designing papel picado patterns.
2. Engage in Movement-Based Learning – Dance, music, and interactive games related to fiesta traditions.
3. Explore Cultural Connections – Learn about papel picado, its origins, and how fiestas are celebrated in different cultures.
4. Enhance Spanish Language Exposure – Learn and practice fiesta-themed vocabulary through fun, hands-on activities.
🍃 The camp runs for half a day, featuring a thirty-minute break!
🍃 Kindly ensure to pack sufficient food for the break, as SNACK is not included.
🍃 Kids experience the perfect blend of Spanish and English during the entire camp!
🍃 Kids grades K-5 are invited to join us, regardless of their level of Spansh!
🍃 Every Saturday, your student will join peers of similar age and skill level to learn in a dynamic learning environment. They will explore the intricacies of cultural experiences through a comprehensive approach that includes speaking, listening, reading, and writing. This will be achieved through fun and competitive activities, all infused with rich cultural elements.
