Class Experience
Summer STEAM Camp is designed to create confident learners! Each day will consist of hands on activities and challenges emphasizing one or more of the STEAM strands. Kids will learn to solve challenging problems, be creative, and to collaborate with others during this four day STEAM camp! At Dakota STEAM Learning, we have decades of experience working with children. We are excited to be partnering with Three Rivers Special Services Cooperative and Philip School District to bring STEAM to your community!
Free STEAM Camp Sponsored by Three Rivers Special Services Cooperative
- Location is Philip Elementary School in Haakon School District
- Contact Skye Holsether or Dakota STEAM with any questions
- 35 spots available per session
- Camp is from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. for Kinder-8th Grade students.
2 classrooms with be used: 1 classroom for K-3rd students and the other for 4th-8th students. The morning and afternoon STEAM camps will consistent of the same projects.
Class Requirements
- Grouping is based on the grade level the participant has just completed for the 2024-2025 school year.
- Grades: K-8th (split into 2 classrooms)
Sample Class Format
- 8:45 a.m.- 9:00 a.m.: Drop off and sign in
- 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.: STEAM Challenges
- Around 10:15 a.m., we will have a snack and recess break
- Pick up promptly at 11:30 a.m.
What To Bring
- Please bring a snack, water bottle, and jacket.
- Recommend bringing a bag to carry completed STEAM projects.
- Participants will paint, please do not dress in your best or bring an art shirt.
