Contemporary Fundamentals (7-9) is a fun introduction to contemporary dance for movers of all levels! Contemporary Fundamentals introduces young dancers to the basic principles of modern and contemporary dance techniques, including suspension, contraction, release, floorwork, musicality, dynamic expression and improvisation. Students will develop knowledge of musicality and movement terminology, and will acquire developmentally appropriate technical skills while building strength and flexibility.

Dancewave uses a tiered tuition system in an effort to disrupt the systemic inequities that often lead to financial limitations that prevent people from accessing quality dance education. Classes are listed at Tier 1, but we encourage you to select the rate that best meets your unique needs by entering either of the following codes at checkout.

Booking Fee:

Each enrollment (“Booking”) for long-term programming (Semester or 3+ Drop-Ins) will be subject to a $25 Booking Fee. Enroll your student for their class(es) for both our Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 Semester at the same time to save $25 in Booking Fees!
