Class Experience

Spend a week in our studio, immersed in art making and learning!

This registration is for the 8-12 year age group. Click here for the 5-7 age group registration.

Our summer camps are divided into two work groups based on age. The older students will be based our of Studio A, while the younger kids will be in Studio B. Both groups will be learning the same material and working on the same crafts, but the older group's projects will be more intricate and in some cases slightly larger.

If you have any questions of where your child should be, don't hesitate to reach out: info@goosegreaseshop.com

In this week’s session, we'll be looking at classic tales like the Loch Ness Monster and creating projects based on Medeival Scotland, like a medieval tower!

Our workshops run 9am-3pm and take place in our Brooklyn studio. Weather permitting, we will spend 1-1.5 hours outside each day for lunch/playtime. The rest of the time will be spent in deep art making and concentration! Our project-based learning method helps children deeply understand and appreciate the topic at hand.

Let’s have fun!

Meet your Instructors

Anna D.

Anna Leigh Donado, owner of Goose Grease, is an artist and a teacher —aside from having a MFA in Drama. Her specialty is painting wooden miniatures, which she has sold in museums around the world, from where the vocation of teaching organically grew by demand. Alongside her husband Juan, who has a PhD in Philosophy, they both plan and design the curriculum for Goose Grease House for the Arts, teaching History through art!

Juan C.

Juan Carlos Donado is a writer and philosopher. He has a PhD in Philosophy and creates educational content for Goose Grease House for the Arts. Having been born in Bogotá, Colombia, Juan’s roots have allowed Goose Grease to establish a fair trade relationship with a carpenter in Bogotá, who customizes the many designs used in the educational lessons offered.
