"Sketchbook Lab"

Young artistists will jump into developing the practice and joy of keeping a sketchbook just like professional artists and designers do!

This camp will introduce children to inspiring ways to document adventures, memories, technique practice with an array of materials, problem solving, new ideas, drawing, doodles, cut-outs, pop-outs, printing, and art experiments. 

Mornings will include drawing, design, printing, paint, collage, sketching along Wickford Harbor, and more! 

A sketchbook is provided for each design camper to keep and use throughout the summer. They are also welcome & encouraged to participate in Monday drop-in sketchbook sessions throughout the summer & show off their sketchbook at the end of the summer at our HCA Sketchbook Soiree. (Stay tuned for info on all of that.) 

Design Camps are a series of specialty camps for our young artists who are excited to spend extended time exploring art techniques, cultivate their own creative ideas, and problem solve design challenges. 

Each Design Camp session will explore innovative processes as young artists create works of art & explore design concepts using a variety of art materials.

This camp is ideal for children entering grades 3-7 for the 2025-26 school year only. Harbor Creative Arts reserves the right to cancel your registration if your child is not going into at least 3rd grade.
