On Friday, May 9, our 10th grade students will travel to UNF to participate in the ropes course. They will begin with a series of grounded activities that aim to challenge the group against a collective goal. Following the activity, participant will be asked to discuss the strategies that aided in their success and what communication patterns best served them. These activities all take place no more than 2 feet off of the ground. After the participants are warmed up and prepared for the zipline, a qualified staff member will walk them through the gear up process, which involves a full body harness, "claws", helmet and zip trolley. The participants will climb the cargo net to the zip platform (approx. 25 feet off the ground). With the remaining time, participants will be able to enjoy the 400 ft zipline over Lake Oneida and onto the Island.
Refunds will not be provided for cancellations due to illness, emergencies or any other circumstances. We understand that unexpected situations arise, but since arrangements are made based on attendance, we are unable to offer refunds.
