Class Experience
Our Art Studio for Kids is a dynamic and creative space designed for young artists in grades 1-6. In this hands-on workapace, students explore a variety of mediums—including drawing, painting, sculpture, and mixed media. Each session is facilitated by a knowledgable staff member who will encourage them to express themselves and experiment with new media.
With a focus on creativity, self-expression, and skill development, students will gain confidence in their artistic abilities, discover new ways to create, and have fun in a low pressure, creative environment. The studio is designed to be a fun, supportive, and inspiring environment where kids can collaborate with peers, share their artwork, and be proud of their creative accomplishments.
Whether your child is a budding artist or just exploring the world of art, the Art Studio for Kids offers a perfect blend of guidance and freedom, helping young artists unlock their full potential while fostering a lifelong love for the arts.
Sample Class Format
- 3-3:30pm - Arrival, snack time
- 3:30-4pm - Introduction of supplies - Instructor will introduce the available supplies for the day. Example: One day might feature a variety of printmaking supplies, another day the studio might be set up for a variety of painting projects, somedays might involve experimenting with various drawing media, such as charcoal pencils.
- 4-6pm - Creation time. Instructor will have an example or two of projects that can be done with the days media, but students are encouraged to create what appeals to them.
- While drop off and pick up times can vary, please do your best to arrive before 3:30 and do not pick up until after 4:30 to allow students time to create
