Class Title: Louise Nevelson Sculptures
Class Description: In this fun and creative class, students will learn about the fascinating world of Louise Nevelson, an artist known for her bold, abstract sculptures made from found objects. Just like Nevelson, you will use everyday materials—like wood pieces, cardboard, and other recycled objects—to create your own 3D masterpiece. We’ll explore how Nevelson arranged her objects in interesting ways to create art that tells a story, and then we’ll build our own sculptures using similar techniques! Whether you're making a towering sculpture or a smaller piece, you'll get to experiment with shapes, texture, and monochromati color, and discover how to turn everyday items into something extraordinary.
