In each hour-long class, students learn the fundamentals of art and design while exploring a variety of materials and age appropriate art lessons.  Classes are designed for ALL LEVELS of artistic ability. At Make, we believe in providing skill-based AND fun art classes.

Thank you for registering for Homeschool at Make Creative Studio!  We are looking forward to having your child join us in the studio for class. Below are a few details to get you ready for the school year:

• Arrival is 11 a.m. in the studio.  Please be prompt, as we use the whole hour to make beautiful art.
• The calendar is on our website.  Please note days that there is no class and holiday breaks.
• The studio supplies all items but requires you to pay a $25 per family fee to help defray costs.
• Students are protected by an apron each class but we will still get messy as we often use non-washable paint.  Please dress appropriately.
• Mark your calendars for our end of year celebration in the studio and Gallery.  We love showing off your child’s work! 
• Our year will find the students reviewing the Elements of Art and Design, including Line, Shape, Form, Space, Pattern, Texture, Value and Color.  Each activity will be based upon these elements or will be a reflection of a particular season or holiday.  For example, we will do an activity for Black History Month in February, a Valentine’s themed activity and a Christmas activity.
• Departure is at Noon from the studio.  Children’s Garden Preschool is also dismissing at that time and will be lined up in the alley where Make’s main entrance is located.  In order to avoid the carline, you may want to park on Tuckahoe Blvd and enter from the double green doors labelled “Church House.”
• Homeschool art will be taught by Angie Cooke or another highly qualified teacher throughout the year.  Your children will still experience the same high quality art and teaching they have come to love!
