Class Experience
Prepare your little one for their next big step into the classroom with Toddler Time at the Trunk - A Pint-Sized Pre-Preschool Experience! This program, led by our experienced and nurturing teaching artists, will begin to gently expose your child to a classroom environment and encourage them to cultivate independent, creative connections with their peers and teachers.
Through a lens of the creative and theatrical arts, we will strengthen your little learner’s social-emotional skills and start them on a path of empathetic community-building that is so important in our world today.
This class is parent/caregiver attended, and packed with fun and imaginative play! Kiddos will be welcomed into our beautiful space with a morning choice-time where they will explore storybooks, toys, a costume corner, a play-kitchen, and more. Then, we will transition into circle time, accompanied by live music while we sing some of their favorite songs. We’ll discover an art project and book inside our treasure trunk and then head off to create art, eat a snack, and listen to the story of the day. Our day will conclude with a goodbye circle and songs!
We hope you will join us for a season of fun, creativity, learning and growing!
Ideal for ages 14-28 months.

My acting loving kiddo had an amazing time! The teachers were warm, enthusiastic and encouraging and had a TON of energy. They did a great job welcoming my daughter as she was feeling shy on her first day. At the end of the day, she told me that this was the BEST camp she attended when school was out and wanted to sign up for the next one. Thank you!!
Improvements:
This was our first time and while I knew that there was a performance at the end of the week, I didn't realize that parents would be invited until I got the email confirmation before camp started. I loved getting to see her in action but wish I had realized/known a little sooner to account for the time in my work day. It was great to see it though - now I just know to block off time the next time around!

Juniper has had a tough time with drop offs for school and weekend classes. She cries and clings onto us every time. However, the counselors at Treasure Trunk have been absolutely amazing - especially Mr. Kyle. Juniper runs in without even saying bye to us and is disappointed to leave when we pick her up. She loves it!
Improvements:
Nothing! I do wish the after school care was a bit more affordable because I would definitely sign her up for that.

So far we’ve done one-day superhero camp and one-week Brave Mermaids camp. My 3.5 year old loves the crafts, stories and getting to act things out! Teachers seem engaged and classes well organized and structured. We appreciate having a theater and imagination oriented class for this age group!
Improvements:
Feedback from my kid is that the 390 Social location is a bit dark and not as cheery as other places. That said, we’ll probably still book there as it is convenient for us.

Thank you so much for sharing, love hearing about their great time with us! Finding spaces to hold our programs outside of our studios is an ongoing challenge. Thankfully 390 is a clean and safe space in a great location, so we continue to run camps there while we look for a permanent home in central park slope. :)
