Class Experience

This is one of our most popular art classes, and what's more fun than time with mom or dad!  'Arts and Dots' allows young children ages 5 and 6 to begin exploring art through an understanding of lines and shapes. Children learn the 'lines and shapes' families and how to create simple drawings/paintings using these elements of art.

The class explores different art mediums such as color brush markers, tempera paint sticks, and dot markers. Fun and instructive art projects provide the structure and knowledge for learning and building a feeling of confidence, with the added benefit of special family learning time. Stories are included to help with the understanding of drawing principles and to gain children's interest and excitement.  Children create numerous drawings/paintings over the session.

A parent or adult is recommended to attend.   The class is one hour long.

Loved:

The children learning new art technique

Improvements:

The instructor does not do a very good job leading the children through a lesson. It's hard to follow her or know what she expects.
