Class Experience
Wonder Kids After-School is a nature-based after-school program that takes place in Prospect Park. We normally play in a beautiful secret forest inside the park, near Litchfield Villa. Each day there is a mission that invites the children to develop their own games and stories through free play. We provide them with necessary materials they need to build structures, make music, create nature-inspired art, and explore the forest.
We plan to be outside in all weather: snow, rain, sun, and cold! Please refer to our Inclement Weather Policy for more information on what we do in extreme conditions.
✔ Mondays are recommended for younger students (Grades K-1)
- (Note: Starting after spring break on April 22, we will be opening a third day of after school for older students (Grades 3-5))

✔ Main meeting point: forest near Litchfiled Villa (Prospect Park West and 5th Street)
✔ School pick-ups from PS321 Lower School, PS 039, & PS107 ($20/session)

Class Requirements
- To be prepared for the program, students must:
- Stay with the group and follow the directions of the camp leaders when needed.
- Be respectful with other children and with nature.
- Take responsibility for their own belongings (e.g., carrying and packing their backpacks).
Sample Class Format
- 3:30pm Snack & Opening Circle
- 4:00pm Free play with missions and creative stations (including costumes, music, art, and building)
- 5:10 Closing Circle & Clean-Up
- 5:30pm Parent Pick-Up

Loved everything about this! Caring, calm but in charge providers. My son learned something everyday, seemingly all through play. Went on wonderful adventures. Outside all day. My 5 year old is already asking if he can do this camp all next summer.
