Class Experience
German 3 for Kids is for young learners with basic German skills (communicating using basic language about family, friends, interests, school, numbers to 100, money, travel, countries, languages, time and dates). Students work to refine their beginning listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.

You must purchase either the digital version OR the paperback version of the textbooks (see details below). These are used during class and for homework for 2 semesters of "German 3 for kids".

What you'll learn
- Students practice their communciation skills (written and spoken) on topics such as freetime activities, food, family, personal characteristics, professions.
- Goethe Language Exam: These classes are designed to help students prepare for the Goethe Langauge Exam. Students are ideally prepared to take the "Fit A1" exam after 4 semesters of study (German 1, German 2, and two semesters of German 3 for Kids). Sample Class Format
- German 1 - 3 are formal for kids and teenage learners in traditional, private, and home school who are looking to learn German in a structured but fun environment. German 3 follows an immersion-based, highly interactive course book – Paul, Lisa & Co A1.2 – and lessons are supplemented by correlating independent activities in a workbook.
- Students cover chapters chatpers 1 - 5 in the Fall, and 6 - 10 in the Spring semester
Other Things To Know

Students work through activities in the workbook independently, which supplement the content from class lessons. Students should expect to spend at least an equal amount of time outside of class in addition to weekly class meetings, and younger learners may require assistance in completing homework activities. For the physical copy, work in the workbook is checked independently via an answer key.

The end result was delicious!! I can't wait for the Schnitzel class.
Improvements:
Getting the ingredients prep instructions a few days ahead of class would have been very helpful so the class time would be spent assembling ingredients not cutting & chopping and assembling -- we were scrambling to keep up with directions. It would've also been helpful for the ingredient list to clarify the weight or approx size of the beef cuts, and if possible, to recommend where to get ingredients like beef bones; HEB and HEB Central Market didn't have them.
