Certify your language proficiency by taking a Goethe-Institut German exam.
The C1 Goethe-Zertifikat and test is meant for students who have completed two semesters of the C1 level (German 5a and German 5b) and feel comfortable with the following:
C1
Can understand a wide range of challenging, longer texts and also grasp implicit meanings. Can express him/herself spontaneously and fluently without having to search for words frequently and noticeably. Can use the language effectively and flexibly in his/her social and professional life or in training and studies. Can make clear, structured and detailed statements on complex topics and apply various means of text association appropriately in the process.

It wasn't super professional which allowed it to have a chill non anxious environment. We also got to talk amongst one another and it was fun.

Birgitt taught us how to make a variety of different authentic German dishes. She was patient and took her time to make sure everyone was successful and enjoyed their food.

The end result was delicious!! I can't wait for the Schnitzel class.
Improvements:
Getting the ingredients prep instructions a few days ahead of class would have been very helpful so the class time would be spent assembling ingredients not cutting & chopping and assembling -- we were scrambling to keep up with directions. It would've also been helpful for the ingredient list to clarify the weight or approx size of the beef cuts, and if possible, to recommend where to get ingredients like beef bones; HEB and HEB Central Market didn't have them.

We also serve as a Goethe Institute testing center, and our curriculum aligns with the Goethe Institut and the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; classes prepare interested students for the Goethe German language proficiency exams, recognized globally as proof of German-language ability.
