Class Experience
Students will embark on a unique Spanish immersion adventure each week with hands-on cooking or art lessons inspired by artists and cultures worldwide.
Our cooking classes spark curiosity about global destinations while introducing students to diverse cultures, ingredients, and recipes.
Every session is a flavorful journey from empanadas and pizza to sushi, dumplings, homemade pasta, desserts, healthy pies, and fun snacks.
Through art or cooking, we incorporate language immersion while teaching essential skills like knife techniques, kitchen utensil usage, and culinary methods. Students will explore recipes from various cultures, expanding their horizons in both language and cuisine.
Best of all, students taste their creations and bring home a delicious to-go pack to share!

My 2nd grader has loved Casa Lu so much! She looks forward to it every week. Lu is so kind and always working on new creative ideas for the kids. I’m also very impressed by how much actual cooking and Spanish my kiddo has picked up. Five enthusiastic stars ⭐️ for Casa Lu!

The kids have fun creating things to bring home. I love that baking and Spanish language is also incorporated. Lu is so patient, kind and is so helpful.

Our kids love Lu. She does a great job keeping the small groups engaged in various activities like cooking and art. In a town filled with giant kid programs we really cherish this smaller format.

The cooking experience and Spanish! My kids LOVE this class and have been attending for the entire 2022-23 school year. I tell other parents about it all the time and people are so impressed with the things they learn: Spanish words, how to follow recipes, working with a team, using a stove or oven, etc. I highly recommend this class - it's wonderful! My girls are definitely excited to come back next year!

More Spanish vocabulary and practice/application in the class; more complex art projects
