Class Experience
Artshack Afterschool Pod Experience (Ages 5-8)
At Artshack, we believe art is an important tool for self-expression, problem-solving, and growth. This season, young artists will explore the world of clay, learning hand-building, the pottery wheel, and various tools. Alongside their clay work, they’ll engage in drawing, drafting, and sketching—essential practices that help children develop their ideas, refine compositions, and expand their creative thinking.
Our teaching artists will guide students through a wide range of mixed-media techniques, including printmaking, felting, and sculpture. Each project encourages process-based art-making, where children experiment, make discoveries, and build confidence in their creative abilities.
Our studio provides a safe space for children to take creative risks, collaborate with peers, and develop their unique artistic voice, all while deepening their understanding of art as both a practice and a form of personal expression.

- Only one discount code can be applied per order. The sibling discount cannot be combined with other discounts.
________
We offer two tuition tiers to help make classes accessible. The full price covers the cost of materials, fair teacher pay, and running the class. We also offer scholarships and subsidized classes for kids and community groups. If you're able to pay the full price for your pod, we encourage you to do so. Your payment helps support scholarships for other students, as we provide full scholarships to 1/4 to 1/3 of kids in our program and regularly offer free or subsidized classes for kids and community groups. Your contribution directly supports making these opportunities possible for others.
We offer a 33% discounted tier. Tiered tuition is based on an honor system; no financial documents are required.
