Class Experience
Tell your story! 3rd-5th grade students will create an ensemble and work with theatre professionals to devise and present their own story as a short play at the end of the semester! The beginning of the class will focus on honing their acting skills, such as voice, speech, body, movement, character and storytelling, in order to prepare them for creating an original script that will be developed during the latter part of the class for the final presentation.
Only 3rd, 4th, & 5th grade students enrolled at Ross Elementary are eligible to register. Teaching Artists will pick up students from Ross at the end of the school day and bring them to Keegan Theatre, where they can be picked up at the end of class. Please note that this class is focused on collaborative storytelling and requires the students' creative input as well as cooperation with Teaching Artists and fellow students in order to create their own theatrical stories. The presentation will be scheduled for the final day.

It keeps my child engaged in a creative way. The instructor is kind, engaged and energetic. He does not yell at the kids and is not too strict, and yet still controls the class.

Would love to see my shy kid do some acting!
