Class Experience
After-School Cooking Clubs - this is where students learn how cooking connects with math, science, language arts, social studies and health/wellness Texas Education Knowledge Standards. (STEM/STEAM 2.0)
Our programs start out where students learn about kitchen safety, then food safety. They learn about cross contamination, proper temperature storage, washing and food preparation skills. Each session progresses with more hands-on opportunities to cook, experiment and discover!
It is here where kids simmer science, mix math, and discover their world through food.
Life skills are also taught during lively discussions with instructors. There are so many ingredients, equipment and cultures that kids will never be bored with discovering the culinary world.
This program is a great introduction for beginners and structured to challenge seasoned young chefs.
