Esta clase es para los que no pueden asistir a clases presenciales porque viven lejos, porque tienen problemas de transporte o conflictos de horario. Los estudiantes pueden vivir en cualquier parte del mundo y tomar la clase desde la comodidad de su propio hogar. De hecho, algunos niños en Chicago se han inscrito junto con sus abuelos en México o en otro estado y se ven todos los fines de semana. Todos pueden aprender a tocar guitarra juntos y a conocer la cultura mexicana con Sones de México Ensemble.
¡Los padres también se pueden inscribir y aprender sobre la música y la cultura de México junto con sus hijos! Tenemos descuentos familiares para hermanos, primos, abuelos, padres e hijos que quieran aprender a tocar guitarra juntos. También aceptamos adultos sin niños interesados en aprender en un ambiente familiar.
Las clases son en español y el repertorio se deriva en el folclor mexicano. Sin embargo, las bases musicales y la teoría que aprenderán se pueden aplicar en cualquier estilo de música.
En el NIVEL 1, los estudiantes aprenden a sujetar, afinar y cuidar de su guitarra. También aprenden sus primeros diez acordes y seis canciones mientras aprenden sobre la historia y la geografía de México.

This class is for those who are unable to attend in person because they live far, have transportation issues or a schedule conflict. Students can actually live anywhere in the world and take the class from the comfort of their home. In fact, some children in Chicago have enrolled with their grandparents in Mexico or in another state, and they see each other every weekend. They all can learn to play guitar together and study Mexican culture with Sones de México Ensemble.
Parents can also sign up and bond with their children by learning music and culture of Mexico together! We have family discounts for siblings, cousins, grandparents, parents and children who want to learn to play guitar together. We also welcome adults without kids who are willing to learn in a family oriented environment. We also welcome adults without kids who are willing to learn in a family oriented environment.
The classes are in Spanish and the repertoire is based on Mexican folk music. However, the musical training and theory students receive is applicable to any style of music.
In LEVEL 1, students learn how to hold and tune their guitar, and how to play their first six chords and at least three songs. They also learn about the history and geography of Mexico.

What you'll learn
- En el NIVEL 1, los estudiantes aprenden a sujetar, afinar y cuidar de su guitarra. También aprenden sus primeros 10 acordes y 6 canciones mientras aprenden sobre la historia y la geografía de México.
- In LEVEL 1, students learn how to hold and tune their guitar, and how to play their first 10 chords and 6 songs. They also learn about the history and geography of Mexico.
Other Things To Know
Pueden inscribirse los padres con sus hijos y adultos sin niños para aprender todos juntos en un ambiente familiar. / We welcome parents to sign up with their children and adults without children to learn together in a family environment.
• Recomendamos que los estudiantes practiquen los ejercicios que el maestro indique por lo menos 5 minutos todos los días.
• Students should practice the exercises recommended by the teacher at least 5 minutes every day.

Class size ! When I first booked I was told class size was small no more than 6-7 people. I was also told that they would talk about Mexican culture and history. My son was not happy or interested.

Regarding class size, I'm sorry that you were misinformed: 6-7 is actually the "minimum" size. Feel free to communicate directly with the teacher if there is something else you are missing.
