Moana Camp

How far will you go on an adventure through the sea with Moana? Come join us to find the heart of the sea as we sing, dance and act out this favorite tale.

Come join us as we explore the world of drama, dance and imagination using the themes and music from our favorite stories! Each day will be filled with games to warm up our bodies and voices and get our imaginations ready for theatrical exploration. Students will learn essential theatre skills and terms, engage in dramatic play, explore dance and movement, and create artwork each day.

We believe deeply in the power of the dramatic arts to strengthen social-emotional learning skills, empathetic connection and global citizenship. To deepen these skills in our campers and in our community, Treasure Trunk commits to responsible and engaging storytelling with inclusion, representation, and respect at the forefront of all of our curriculums.

All camps include an online album of photos and a short performance at the end of the week so you can see your child's work. Whether your child already enjoys performing or is a little hesitant, our camps will boost their confidence and get them excited about being themselves!

Sample schedule:

9:00am-9:30am – Theatre warm-ups to get our bodies, voices and imaginations ready for the day

9:30am-10:00am – Dance and movement time tailored to the theme of the week

10:00am-10:30am – Craft - a new, unique project every day, tailored to our theme

10:30am-10:45am – Snack Break

10:45am-11:15am – Story Drama (Reading stories that expand on our theme of the week and acting them out)

11:15am-12:00pm – Skill-building and theatre games

12:00pm – Pick up

12:00pm-3:00pm – Optional Extended Day

12:00pm– Lunch!

12:30pm – Outdoor Play

1:15pm – Ensemble Art Exploration

2:00pm – Theatrical Exploration

2:45pm – Reflect & Share

3:00pm – Pick Up

3:00-5:30pm - Late Extended Day:

To add LATE EXTENDED DAY, return to the main camp registration and select the separate listing for the Late Extended Day for the week you wish to add, then add it to your cart.

Late Extended Day is available for the following locations:

- Treasure Trunk Atlantic Ave

- Treasure Trunk Park Slope

- Treasure Trunk Prospect Heights

- Christ Church - students will be walked by our teaching artists to Treasure Trunk Atlantic (141 Atlantic Ave) to combine with our Late Extended Day for 3-8 year olds.

- Pilates Heights - students will be walked by our teaching artists to Treasure Trunk Atlantic (141 Atlantic Ave) to combine with our Late Extended Day for 3-8 year olds.

- Dancewave - Students will be walked by our teaching artists to Treasure Trunk Park Slope (179 4th Ave) to combine with our Late Extended Day for 3-8 year olds.

- Brooklyn Brainery - students will be walked by our teaching artists to Treasure Trunk Prospect Heights (700 Washington Ave) to combine with our Late Extended Day for 3-8 year olds.
