Where gaming & choose your own adventure meet acting and filmmaking!
Get ready for a thrilling journey in the Dungeons & Dragons Filmmaking camp with CinemaKidz! Imagine, design, and step into your character's shoes, as we dive into the game and create an enchanting story over the week. Watch as our game progresses and our script dynamically transforms. As the narrative unfolds, you'll embody your characters, bringing the tale to life through the magic of filmmaking. You'll have the opportunity to craft costumes, act, film, direct, and edit a short film, which grows and changes with the gameplay. Embrace the thrill of the unknown, because there's a world of adventure hidden in every corner of this extraordinary camp!
This Week, campers will:
- Dive into D & D gameplay as it relates to storytelling and sci-fi/fantasy
- Develop characters and personas
- Focus on Art Direction: costumes, props, and sets
- Experiment with visual techniques: lighting, color balance, unique cinematography, and more
- Dive into the fundamentals of editing & experiment with SFX to create awesome magical and fantasy effects
- Learn how to make a short film from start to finish
