Class Experience
Each summer, intermediate to advanced dancers ages 11-24 are selected for a unique contemporary dance intensive to work with nationally-acclaimed guest artists, Urbanity Dance Company members, and Urbanity’s most popular faculty. Students receive 7 hours of daily instruction from 10-5pm in ballet, modern, and contemporary technique, as well as supplementary courses in jazz, musical theater, improv, hip hop, and repertory.
These auditions are NOT at Urbanity studios. Please see below for the locations for each date.
Audition Location Schedule:
March 1: Natick High School (Main stage), 15 West St, Natick, MA 01760
April 12: Thayer Academy (Main stage), 45 Washington St, Braintree, MA 02184
In-Person auditions will incorporate aspects of ballet, modern, jazz and contemporary techniques. A warm-up will not be provided. Please wear something that shows lines and that you feel comfortable moving in and only barefoot or light socks for footwear.

Haley Day is the MOST phenomenal instructor. She engages will all dancers in such a spectacular way; she provides adequate amount of time to all and strengthen them on their individual levels. Anyone can tell from the very first moment, she is intentional with every minute spent in studio with each person... she loves what she does and that comes thru in a wonderful way. Thank you for all you do Ms. Haley!

I loved how free and structured the class felt, a good happy medium of self expression and the learning of exact movement of the body.
Improvements:
The space was a bit small for the amount of kids in the room but the experience was worth it!
