Class Experience
At Junior Chefs Kitchen, we do more than teach kids how to cook — we focus on reducing picky eating and fostering important developmental skills. Through hands-on cooking activities, children engage in a fun, sensory-rich environment that helps build fine and gross motor skills, improve cognitive development, and boost their confidence in the kitchen. Cooking offers children an interactive way to learn math concepts like counting and measuring, and introduces them to new vocabulary describing food’s textures, smells, and tastes. Our classes provide an educational, creative space where kids explore the joy of cooking while learning essential life skills.
Class Highlights:
-
Ages 2-5: We focus on motor skills by teaching kids to handle simple kitchen tools, while helping them learn basic counting and descriptive language through sensory exploration of ingredients. -
All Ages: We help reduce picky eating by exposing children to a wide variety of foods in a fun, safe setting that encourages curiosity and food exploration. -
End of Session Junior Chef Master Celebration: The final class (week of June 2nd) your child will have an opportunity to present their creation to their instructor & fellow parent judges. They will receive a Certificate of Completion and a cute food pin!
Join us for an experience that will nurture your child's development, reduce picky eating, and foster a lifelong love for food!

Loved:
Fun recipe idea
Improvements:
The balloon part didn’t actually work because the chocolate didn’t freeze long enough. It seemed like the instructor had never tried making the recipe before. And when the chocolate bowls fell apart, she was just like…whelp, sorry, we are out of time!
