Class Experience
ChatGPT, Robots! Self-driving cars! What is artificial intelligence and how does it affect your everyday life? In this camp, our coders will use Scratch to build an AI app using machine learning.
In the process of building their projects, campers will learn what AI is, and how machines learn. They will also play with real AI tools. Campers will build an AI app that uses machine learning and identify the ways in which they are already interacting with AI. By the end of this course, coders will be able to demonstrate and explain how computers mimic human intelligence by making “smart” decisions.
This course is taught in Scratch so the campers can concentrate on AI principles, not learning a new coding language. Please see class requirements before enrolling.

Loved:
The girls were engaged and learned something.
Improvements:
I’d suggest showing them a finished version of the activity in the beginning, so they could see what they were making. I’d also suggest using a marker to add the instructor names to the board.
