CLASS DESCRIPTION:
This semester's focus will be Artist Studies. Topics may include but are not limited to: Da Vinci's Mona Lisa, Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel, and a Botticelli's Birth of Venus.
We teach history through art! Our new Studio B is home to our youngest and first-time Goose Greasers, who will learn the basic building blocks of art-making and our Goose Grease style. Our pedagogical approach is to immerse our students in our topic of study while creating, taking notes, and having inspiring conversation. All of our Fall classes will begin a 3-4 week refresher course of geography basics.
Art-intensive, with a focus on multi-media art making and history learning. Students will gain confidence in their art skills as they work with quality art materials and build their own miniature worlds. Each class includes a topical or historical lesson, followed by project led art-making time.

About Goose Grease Shop
Goose Grease House is a Brooklyn-based art workspace that offers unique classes, interactive camps and creative experiences by blending art with history and culture. We offer in-studio and virtual classes.
Our studio is dedicated to expanding the minds and skills of young Goose Greasers. With a curriculum designed by husband and wife team, Juan and Anna Donado, budding artists are encouraged to think independently and creatively while immersing themselves in multi-media arts.
Juan holds a PhD in Philosophy and uses his background in languages and the classical cannon to develop robust historical lessons. Anna has a Masters in the Arts and combines many art forms into her mixed media, sculptural approach to learning history.
