STEAM and VexIQ Robotics Summer Camp - Fort Lee (9-14)

THE R CHILD's STEAM and VEX IQ Robotics Camp provides an exciting opportunity for kids to dive into our comprehensive robotics program while exploring innovative technology. Through robotics, children will develop essential skills such as critical thinking, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity. Our engaging program allows ample time for campers to immerse themselves in these core principles through brainstorming, research, building, testing, and troubleshooting in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Whether your child is new to robotics or already has experience, they’ll have the chance to expand their knowledge and skills in building and coding while working on exciting challenges. Using VEX IQ Robotics, kids will design, build, and program robots to tackle tasks like head-to-head competitions, obstacle courses, and interactive missions. Guided by VEX Certified Teachers, campers will learn beginner-friendly coding while enhancing their technical and creative abilities, ensuring a fun and enriching experience for all skill levels.

While robotics remains the heart of our program, campers will also have the opportunity to explore other engaging activities that blend technology and creativity. From coding in Minecraft and creating stop-motion animations to designing digital art and exploring 3D printing, kids will tap into their imaginations while building essential STEM skills. They can even dive into space exploration by building rovers and simulating planetary missions, or step into the world of game development with platforms like Roblox Studio and GameMaker. For those interested in AI, we offer a chance to integrate sensors into robots, teaching them how to interact with their surroundings using cutting-edge technology.

In addition to these hands-on projects, our camp also emphasizes collaboration and innovation, inspiring kids to work together to solve problems and achieve their goals. The variety of activities ensures a well-rounded, engaging summer that blends creativity, learning, and teamwork into an unforgettable experience.

Be present at the drop-off and pick-up, you have to sign the release of your child to our/your care. We do a quick wellness check at the drop-off. Children showing cold or other symptoms or with a temperature over 100.4 will be sent home. No refunds or credits will be provided

Hand sanitizers will be available at the center at all times.
Cleaning of the facilities will be according to the CDC's Guidance. All shared materials will be disinfected between uses.

Before attending camp please fill out the Health and Release forms and email them to billing@therchild.com at least one week before attending our camp to allow us some time to check submitted forms.
The child WILL NOT BE accepted at the drop-in without these forms. The STEAM and Robotics summer camp is an NJ State Certified camp and has to comply with the State requirements.
