No School Art Camp: Jewelry & Wearable Art

When school's closed, HHM is open! Join us for Jewelry & Wearable Art Camp on Friday, April 4th (no school for PPS). Kids will have the opportunity to make a variety of wearable jewelry such as earrings, necklaces and bracelets plus cutesy things that can be displayed like backback charms and wall hangings. Kids will learn basic skills like simple beading on string, how to make polymere clay beads and then move into more delicate work with chains and charms. We will use fancy jewelry tools and materials like pliers and jump hoops. Shrinky dinks will definitely make an appearance! Lastly, everyone will paint and decorate a wooden jewelry box to store all of their freshly made bling. As always, in addtion to our main projects, the studio will be outfitted with creative stations so kids can choose how they spend their day. 

Sample Schedule:

Drop-off: 8:50-9:15am

Check-in & free play: 9:15-9:30

Project: 9:30-10:30am

Snack: 10:30-10:45am

Project: 10:45-11:45am

Lunch & free play: 11:45-12:45

Project & free choice: 12:45-1:45

Clean-up & pick-up: 1:45-2pm

No school camps are from 9a-2p

Please be sure to bring the following:

• Snacks, Lunch & Water
• Clothes that you won't mind getting messy

Our Terms: By signing up for a workshop or attending a function which we are hosting, you agree to the terms and conditions stated herein. You do hereby release Hey! Happy Makers, LLC. or any person or persons acting on its behalf from liability for any bodily injuries sustained, or for loss or damage of any personal articles while on the premises or while participating in any activity sponsored by Hey! Happy Makers, LLC. Furthermore, the undersigned agrees that in the event medical attention is required due to accident or illness, Hey! Happy Makers, LLC. shall, without accepting fiscal responsibility, seek such medical services as it deems necessary and appropriate through EMs/911 and/or local hospitals.

Media Usage: All media usage is OPT-OUT. We want to share all of your fun creations with the world! By enrolling in any of our programs, you give Hey! Happy Makers, LLC permission to use photography, video and other media that might include you or your child’s image without any approval. This media will only be used with good intentions and could include use for promotions, print, website, and social media.

Class / Workshop Etiquette: All scheduled classes and camps start and end on time. Please be prompt in your arrival and departure, as we often have other classes starting after yours. Teachers are subject to change.

Refund policy: Hey! Happy Makers, LLC reserves the right to cancel any class or camp due to low enrollment or unforeseen teacher conflicts. If a class is cancelled, we will do our best to reschedule the session.  If you are unable to attend, you will be issued a refund.

Cancellation policy: We understand that plans change. Cancellations that are made up to 30 days before camps and classes will be REFUNDED IN FULL. Cancellations made within 30 days of the start of your camp or class will be REFUNDED AT 50% of the total fee. Cancellations made within 7 days or less of the start of your scheduled camp or class WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. Enrollment is generally non-transferable, however, accommodations might be made if space allows.

Illness: For the safety of all of our students and staff, if you or your child are displaying signs of any illness (fever, pain, vomiting, runny nose, excessive coughing etc.), please do not come to the studio. If your child displays any of these symptoms or complains of not feeling well during a class or camp, an adult will immediately be called for early pick up. While make-up classes due to illness are NOT GUARANTEED, we will do our best to accommodate you in those circumstances.

Hey! Happy Makers, LLC will follow all current Covid and respiratory illness guidelines put forth by the Oregon Health Authority and/or CDC.

Make-up Classes: If you miss a class or camp due to illness, scheduling conflict, or any other reason, we DO NOT GUARANTEE a make-up class or camp. However, we will do our best to accommodate you if space allows in a different class during the same session.

In the event that Hey! Happy Makers needs to cancel, we will first try to reschedule or offer a refund.

Behavior & Safety: Our goal at Hey! Happy Makers is to foster a community of kind and respectful creatives.

•Students and parents will be expected to be respectful of their peers and teachers, as well as of the studio, materials and tools so that our space remains enjoyable and safe for all to use.

•We ask that you consider your child’s readiness for a camp or class. It may not be a good fit for students who need constant individualized attention.

•In some instances, we will use sharp and potentially dangerous tools such as (but limited to) scissors, hammers, and hot glue guns. As such, we ask that your child has no physical, emotional, or social conditions that may make it unsafe, in any way, for them to participate in our programs.

•For the safety of everyone, running and rough play will not be tolerated in the studio.
