Class Experience
Join us for a fun and delicious culinary adventure in our afterschool cooking class designed especially for young chefs in grades K-2! This 90-minute hands-on experience will introduce kids to the delightful flavors of Italian cuisine, where they’ll create their own yummy dinners inspired by recipes from across Italy, including both the northern and southern regions.
In this engaging class, participants will learn to prepare a variety of simple and tasty Italian dishes, alternating between sweet and savory recipes each week. From colorful pasta to delightful desserts, each session will feature a new dish, encouraging creativity and teamwork as they mix, stir, and taste their way to a wonderful meal!
As they cook, kids will also discover interesting facts about Italian culture and the origins of the dishes they're making, along with some fun Italian vocabulary. This makes each meal not just a cooking lesson, but an exciting educational experience! By the end of the class, young chefs will have a delicious dinner to share and new skills and confidence in the kitchen.

Notes
To avoid interruptions in our programming and to ensure that we start and end on time, please arrive no more than 5 minutes before the scheduled start of class. Please try to be no more than 10 minutes late for a class.
If you are in the seating area at the front of the studio, at any time, please enjoy the books in our library and keep your conversations to a minimum because the children are easily distracted prior to times of transition.

General health and sickness guidelines
Any child with respiratory illness symptoms (cough, runny nose, or sore throat) and a fever should not come to class.

Other Things To Know
No refunds after enrollment. For the short semester, only one class credit is available. If your child misses a class, this credit can be used for any of our classes within 12 months. Thank you for your understanding and commitment!

Lane had a great time. He was very excited to tell me about Artland and listening to Here Comes The Sun. I love that they were able to pick up from PS8 and it's great for him to spend time with his classmates.
