Class Experience
Sommercamp II is for children with basic German ability (prerequisite: previous or current participation in an A1-level class or equivalent).
Student will learn through play and observation with lots of fun summer activities during our week long camps involving projects (arts and crafts, science, theater, etc.), games, live entertainers, and more.
Notes
You will receive COVID-19 prevention information as it relates to the camp via the email address for which you registered for the class. Parents must read this, sign a confirmation and liability waiver, and return this to classes@germantexans.org or the camp instructor before you child(ren) will be allowed to attend and participate in camp.
Other Things To Know
- Prior to first class – 90% refund of the tuition amount
- Prior to the second class – 70% refund
- Prior to the third class – 50% refund
- No refund is available after the third class

It wasn't super professional which allowed it to have a chill non anxious environment. We also got to talk amongst one another and it was fun.

Birgitt taught us how to make a variety of different authentic German dishes. She was patient and took her time to make sure everyone was successful and enjoyed their food.

The end result was delicious!! I can't wait for the Schnitzel class.
Improvements:
Getting the ingredients prep instructions a few days ahead of class would have been very helpful so the class time would be spent assembling ingredients not cutting & chopping and assembling -- we were scrambling to keep up with directions. It would've also been helpful for the ingredient list to clarify the weight or approx size of the beef cuts, and if possible, to recommend where to get ingredients like beef bones; HEB and HEB Central Market didn't have them.
