My Messy Art Shop at Perry School
My Messy Art Shop, founded by Dawn Lesley Stewart of Perry School, is a dynamic drop-in art studio designed to inspire creativity and exploration in young children. It emphasizes open-ended, process-oriented experiences, allowing children to engage their imaginations freely.
What We Offer
The studio features a variety of hands-on art and sensory stations, including:
• Painting and splatter art areas
• A mudpie kitchen with moon sand
• Giant playhouse and dollhouses
• Sand tables for creative play
• A maker table with diverse materials
These spaces encourage curiosity and foster a love for creativity and discovery.
Flexible Participation
Families can enjoy drop-in sessions without prior registration or explore multi-week programs for more structured activities tailored to children’s growth.
My Messy Art Shop is also a core part of Perry School’s NYC Kids Play Open Play sessions, offering children a safe, inclusive environment to explore and create.
Additionally, we are excited to be bringing My Messy Art Shop to Children’s Art Factory, where we will continue nurturing creativity and imagination.

Baby Moves classes are non-refundable. However, due to inclement weather or illness, you may schedule a make-up at admin@perryschool.com and write in the subject line BABY MOVES MAKEUP

About Perry School
Hello Families,
Perry School is an 8000 sq ft, sunlit early learning center located at 136 West 10th Street since 2001. We offer enrichment classes and preschool programs for children ages 3 months through 6 years old. Our programs include NYC Kids Play, Baby Moves, NYC Kids Camps, NYC Kids Parties and our beloved Perry School preschool program ages toddler through 4 years.
