Class Experience
Cozy and Warmth Acrylic Painting Exploration
This acrylic painting class invites you to explore themes of coziness and warmth through colors, symbols like fire, and unconventional techniques. This isn’t about creating a masterpiece for a gallery; it’s about low-stakes, playful exploration in a supportive and relaxed environment. Think finger painting, sponges, and brushes working together to spark your imagination.
Each session offers time for conversation and connection, but you’re also welcome to focus quietly on your art. It’s your space to unwind, experiment, and let your creativity flow without judgment.
4 weeks - drop ins available if you can only make a couple classes.

Anita is a wonderful, kind and supportive instructor. She supported both the experienced artist and novice like me with positive feedback. She made me feel welcome and secure even though I had no drawing experience.

Loved:
I loved the community aspect of spending time with others and working through our pieces together and encouraging each other. I liked learning about the different supplies that you can use.
Improvements:
This did not feel like a beginner course for watercolor. I often found myself using YouTube and other tutorials just to prepare for the class I was going to. I found the teaching itself to be minimal and I didn't always feel as though there were answers when I asked direct questions about techniques I was trying to use. I wish this class had been more tutorial based and I frequently felt discouraged leaving the class that I didn't learn the techniques well enough and that my skills were lacking.

The space was beautiful and the instructor was very nice
Improvements:
This was not a beginning class. It was more of a studio place with an expert that gave you tips. Beginners need step by step instructions...this was more do what you'd like and ask questions.
