Sewing Camp: Zippered Bags and Accessories

Join us for a fun-filled sewing camp, where creativity meets practicality! This hands-on workshop will focus on making stylish zippered bags and accessories. With guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice, each project will allow campers to express their creativity while mastering essential skills of machine sewing, ironing, measuring, and safe use of a rotary cutter and mat. This camp is perfect for both beginners and those with some sewing experience.

Main Project:
Participants will primarily create a variety of zippered bags, such a pencil case, zippered pouch, and cosmetics bag. Each project will allow campers to express their creativity while mastering essential sewing techniques.

Additional Project Options:
As time permits, campers can explore other exciting projects such as:

• Apron
• Water bottle carrier
• Bowtie
• Belt
• Scrunchies

Skills Practiced:
Throughout the camp, campers will develop essential sewing skills, including:

• Sewing in zippers
• Machine sewing techniques
• Ironing and finishing
• Measuring accurately
• Safe use of a rotary cutter and mat

With guided instruction and plenty of hands-on practice, this camp is perfect for both beginners and those with some sewing experience. All materials will be provided, and participants are encouraged to bring any favorite fabrics they’d like to incorporate into their projects.
