Art and Movement: Wild! for ages 5-9

 *NEW FOR 2025: Each of our summer camps for ages 5-9 will integrate a literacy component designed to support early reading comprehension and language development. Through engaging storytelling, interactive discussions, and creative activities that connect with the camp’s artistic focus, we help young learners build foundational literacy skills in a natural and inspiring way. This approach ensures that reading and storytelling enhance, rather than detract from, the hands-on art experience.*

At our camp, inspired by the playful spirit of young artists, children aged 5-9 will dive into the vibrant world of art. Through hands-on activities, we'll introduce them to the fascinating techniques pioneered by abstract expressionist artists. From action painting to color fields, splatter paintings, and even body art, every day will be filled with new discoveries and artistic triumphs.

But that's not all! In addition to painting, we'll embark on a journey into the colorful realm of color theory, where your child will learn to mix their own paint and bring their visions to life on canvas. With guidance from our experienced instructors, they'll create their very own abstract masterpieces, each one a testament to their unique creativity.

And the fun doesn't stop there! Our camp is a playground for the senses, where children will experiment with a variety of materials like air-dry clay, slime, and paper mache. From squishy sensations to gooey textures, every moment will be an opportunity for them to explore, create, and express themselves in new and exciting ways.

Thank you for registering your child. • Late policy: For every 15 minutes that a child is waiting after the end of class/extended art, there will be a $5 late charge.
