Class Experience
no musical experience necessary / all levels welcome!
Artists will explore the power of sound alongside the value of craftsmanship by creating their own instruments from repurposed materials that we can typically find in our home.
From kalimbas made out of bobby pins to zithers made out of shoe boxes & more, artists will learn and utilize instrument building techniques that mirror those created by musicians hundreds of years ago. After crafting each instrument, artists will collaborate with others in producing, playing and recording their own sound piece(s) with guidance on a digital audio workstation.

Loved:
Sora always learns so much about sewing from Ms Xea, and at the end of the week had a twin-sized quilt that she worked hard on and felt very proud of.
Improvements:
Is there a way to share patterns or sketches or instructions so that some of the smaller projects (pouches) could be made again at home?
