Weekly Themes:
Week 1: Wildlife Wonders, June 30 - July 3 (no session on July 4th)
During our Wildlife Wonders week, our young explorers will study the wildlife of our beautiful Pace campus using tools like binoculars and note pads to log our observations of bugs, butterflies, insects and animals we find! We will craft animal masks for the new animals that we find in our grasslands (we met a turtle last summer!) and our lake. We will plant gardens that attract birds and butterflies, and take photos of them! Our campers will discover the outdoors in creative and playful ways as we roar, buzz and chrip our way through the week! 🦁🌿🐦
Week 2: Little Campers Adventure (July 7 - July 11)
Get ready to pack your sleeping bags and pitch your tents – it’s time for an unforgettable Camping Adventure! This week, we’ll invite our campers to bring their very own camping tents and sleeping bags to help create a cozy campsite right here on campus. Together, we'll set up our very own "outdoor retreat" by gathering around our pretend campfires for some classic camping fun – telling ghost stories (don’t worry, we’ll keep them friendly!), singing campfire songs, and sharing exciting tales about our National Parks. ⛺️🔥🌲
Week 3: Mini Makers' Fair (July 14 - July 18)
The Mini Makers’ Fair is all about inspiring creativity and hands-on learning in preschoolers! With four interactive stations, kids can explore different ways to build, craft, and create while developing fine motor skills, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork.
- Station 1: Build-It Zone (DIY Block Creations)
- Station 2: Art Studio (Collaborative Mural Painting)
- Station 3: Tinker Table with Upcycled Creations
- Station 4: Playdough and Oobleck Maker Lab
At the end of the week, we will share our creations in a Fair with our families! 🎨🛠️👩🎨
Week 4: Puddle Jumpers and Lily Pads! (July 21 - July 25)
Our campus lakefront brings a peaceful and serene vibe to the summer. We will spend our morning by the lake doing a nature scavenger hunt for smooth rocks, leaves and feathers to make our nature-themed bags to make a nature collage by the end of the week! Children will develop a deeper appreciation for nature and all its creatures while making nature prints, lily pads and sensory ponds. Whether splashing in sensory water play with DIY mini boats or creating beautiful art inspired by the lake, this theme will leave campers feeling connected to the natural world and excited about water-based wonders! 🌊🐸🌿
Week 5: Sprouts & S'mores (July 28 - August 1)
Sprouts & S’mores is the perfect blend of nature, creativity, and tasty treats, making it a week your child will never forget! Whether planting, crafting, or enjoying a delicious snack, every day is packed with fun, laughter, and the joys of the great outdoors. Pack your nature spirit and join us for a week of adventure! 🌱🔥🍫
Week 6: The Indy Lab Ranch! (August 4 - August 8)
Yeehaw! Saddle up for a wild and exciting week at The Indy Lab Ranch, where your little one will step into the boots of a cowboy or cowgirl for a fun-filled adventure in our very own "Wild West!" From rodeo-style games like lassoing and stick-horse races, to cowboy dress-up sessions where kids can wear hats, bandanas, and boots, every day will be filled with fun and excitement! Our arts and crafts activities will include making sheriff badges, designing cowboy hats, and even creating their very own “wanted” poster to take home as a keepsake. 🌾🐄🤠

Loved:
I enjoyed how the class is lightly structured giving the littles a taste of a school routine. The sensory activities were great and the children seemed to have a good time getting messy in the water and sand! Kelly was super interactive with all the children on both an individual and class basis. My daughter felt comfortable the moment she came into the classroom and that was in part due to Kelly’s kind demeanor. The classroom was clean and tidy and every toy seemed to have a specific home.
Improvements:
I can’t think of anything that would need be improved upon at this time. We’ve only been in one class but will be back next week!
