Class Experience
Explore the power of storytelling through film in this beginner-friendly workshop for middle and high school students. In this FREE 12-week course you'll learn the basics of scriptwriting, filming, and editing while creating short films that highlight important community topics. Guided by experienced filmmakers, you'll collaborate in small groups to produce impactful projects that address real-world issues. By the end, you'll not only have a finished film but also a deeper understanding of how media can drive social change. No prior experience needed—just a passion for storytelling!

Class Requirements
- Parents must provide signed permission form and video waiver for the current school year
- Students eligible for Student Service Learning (SSL) hours based on attendance and participation.
Sample Class Format
- this hands on class will teach you each facet of filmmaking (how to craft a story, how to stage a scene or interview, video capture, audio capture, lighting, media management, and more)
- you will work in teams as you learn
