Art and Movement: Wild! for ages 5-9

 Welcome to Art and Movement Wild!
This high-energy summer camp is perfect for kids ages 5–9 who love to move, create, and explore! Campers will dive into the world of abstract art while engaging their senses and unleashing their imaginations through playful movement and hands-on projects.

New for 2025:
Each of our summer camps for ages 5–9 now includes a literacy component designed to support early reading comprehension and language development. Through storytelling, interactive discussions, and creative literacy activities tied to each camp’s theme, we help young learners build essential skills in a joyful, organic way — where reading supports and enhances their art-making.

🎨 Action Art Inspired by Abstract Expressionists
Campers will explore the wild side of painting with techniques like splatter painting, action painting, and color fields — all inspired by iconic abstract artists.

🖌️ Color Theory in Motion
Your child will learn to mix colors, experiment with contrast and harmony, and bring their own bold visions to life through expressive brushwork and dynamic movement.

🌀 Sensory Art Explorations
From air-dry clay and paper mâché to gooey slime and body-safe paint, campers will explore a wide range of textures and materials that spark creativity and ignite the senses.

🧠 Creative Literacy Sessions
Each day features a short story or read-aloud paired with art and movement activities that build vocabulary, support comprehension, and connect language to creative expression.

🤸‍♀️ Movement + Expression
Expect music, dance, and big body movements that allow kids to physically engage with their artmaking — a great way for wiggly kids to channel energy into creativity.

Important Notes for Families:

  Nut-Free Space: Vibe Studios is a nut-free environment due to the possibility of severe allergies. Please pack snacks accordingly.
• 
  Late Pick-Up Policy: A $5 fee will be charged for every 15 minutes your child remains after camp dismissal. Thank you for respecting the time of our teaching artists.
• 
  Pack Smart: Send your child with a water bottle and clothes that can get messy — they will get messy!
•

Thank you for registering your child. • Late policy: For every 15 minutes that a child is waiting after the end of class/extended art, there will be a $5 late charge.
