Class Experience
Blast off into an exciting week of space exploration and hands-on discovery!
Campers will dive into the wonders of space through engaging, age-appropriate activities focused on NASA, SpaceX, and the science of space travel. Each day features a mix of STEAM challenges, fun crafts, and play in our Discovery Zones. They'll build rockets, explore planets, and even simulate an astronaut mission, all while fostering curiosity and teamwork.
Sample Class Format
- Camp Hours
Standard Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Extended Day Option:
Drop-off as early as 7:30 AM
Pick-up until 5:30 PM
Constructive activities during extended hours include LEGO challenges, puzzles, craft stations, and free play in the Discovery Zones.
Daily Schedule
- 8:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Morning Launch Pad (fun facts about space transportation and warm-up activities)
- 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM: STEAM Challenge
Monday: Build and test mini rockets.
Tuesday: Explore propulsion with balloon-powered vehicles.
Wednesday: Create moon lander prototypes.
Thursday: Experiment with rover wheels and terrains.
Friday: Assemble and finalize a personalized Mars Rover to take home.
- 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM: Snack Break & Transportation Trivia
- 10:30 AM – 12:00 PM: Discovery Zone Activities

- 1:15 PM – 2:15 PM: Special Weekly Activity
Monday: Pop Jet Splash Pad and Gaga Ball
Tuesday: Movie Day at Cinebistro Summer Film Fest
Wednesday: Pop Jet Splash Pad and Outdoor Play
Thursday: Outdoor Games and Challenges with the Outdoor Game Bag
Friday: Outdoor Games and End-of-Week Mars Rover Celebration
- 2:15 PM – 3:15 PM: Space Exploration Wrap-Up (reflect and share learning highlights)
- 3:15 PM – 3:30 PM: Pick-Up for Standard Hours
Extended Day Activities (3:30 PM – 5:30 PM)
Campers will engage in fun, constructive activities during extended pick-up hours, such as:
LEGO and engineering challenges
Creative craft stations (e.g., space-themed art)
Puzzles and games in the Discovery Zones
Quiet reading or reflection space
Special Features
- STEAM-Based Learning: Focus on the mechanics of space transportation, propulsion, and rover design.
- Mars Rover Project: Campers will design, build, and take home their very own Mars Rover.
Weekly Highlights:
- Tuesday Movie Days: Space-themed films at Cinebistro Summer Film Fest.
- Monday & Wednesday Splash Pad: Cool off and play at the Stony Point Pop Jet area.
- Thursday & Friday Outdoor Games: Gaga Ball and engaging outdoor challenges.
Camp T-Shirt: Each camper receives a custom camp t-shirt to remember their incredible week.
